Hi, I’m Kim.
I’m a Mum of two beautiful children, forever learning alongside them, and partner to a kind, patient man that reminds me daily that love can be steady and soft at once.
At the beginning of this year we packed up our life in Melbourne and drifted north, swapping the fast pace for a slower rhythm in a coastal town in Queensland. Here I’m learning the art of stillness, the kind that rattles you a little, then gently rebuilds you from the inside out.
Before this sea change I spent almost a decade as a registered nurse in perinatal mental health, sitting besides mothers as they unravelled and re-formed, holding space for their darkest and tenderest moments. There was a deep meeting point, my own post natal struggles became a bridge between personal experience and professional practice. It gave me a depth of understanding that no textbook could offer. I could sit beside them, truly present, attuned to the unspoken. I understood what it meant to need someone to witness you, to see you, not to fix you. It has shaped the way I hold space, gently, patiently with reverence to each families unique story.
Over the years I have continued to gather tools that have helped me make sense of my story and reconnect me with my body. My training includes but is not limited to:
-Circle of Security taught me how secure attachment begins with knowing your own emotional landscape.
-Aware Parenting revealed the profound power of crying and the truth behind our children’s emotions.
-Compassionate Inquiry invited me to become curious instead of reactive.
-Family therapy training gave me the language for generational patterns and how they show up in daily life.
-Nervous system exploration, thanks to my guides who taught me to listen to the language of my body, instead of being ruled by my racing mind.
I’m passionate about connection, with yourself, your children, your partners, with the story you carry and the one you long to live.
I love riding bikes, wandering through new cultures, and observing how families and communities raise their young in circle, not in silos.
But most of all I love working with parents who are ready to slow down, get curious and walk their own path.
Each 1:1 session I run begins and ends with a guided check-in — because we can’t expect our children to slow down and listen to their bodies if we aren’t doing the same. We are their guides. And as I’ve learned (and am still learning, daily), the work starts with us.
Thanks for being here. I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
